On 9th April we headed to Brussels for the 2015 ECIS Leadership Conference, coinciding with ECIS’ Golden Jubilee year. We were pleased to find a good deal of interest in Titus Learning Platform and ideas on bespoke development.
One area we spoke about with several groups of visitors was the concept of dynamically linking content and assessment, which we’re hoping to blog about soon. Online reporting apps for parents also seemed to be a hot topic at the conference, with plenty of delegates requesting information on our EduLink app.
Once again we encountered a mix of new and familiar faces. We relished the opportunity to catch up with several Titus Learning users, and enjoyed meeting some fellow e-learning enthusiasts for the first time. It was also good to meet up with other e-learning companies including Capita SIMS, InResonance and School Website, and we had some great discussions on improving how we integrate our software.
The quality of the speakers was exceptional, with particular highlights including Pixar’s Jay Schuster on the role of film and animation in education, and Juliana Rotich’s presentation on the future of international education in Africa.
The event was rounded off by an enjoyable dinner, which gave us the chance to compare notes on the conference, and also make a few last minute introductions. All in all, a really thought provoking and educational experience for our team.
