Kiwanis International, a global volunteer organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children, on the heels of launching their new enterprise member portal, Kiwanis Engage, is set to revolutionise its volunteer training and leadership development with the launch of a new, centralised digital learning platform. The organisation has partnered with Titus Learning to build a powerful Moodle Workplace learning management system (LMS) that will enhance the skills and impact of its over 550,000 club members across a vast grassroots network of over 10,000 clubs in more than 80 countries.
Founded in 1915, Kiwanis International is dedicated to strengthening communities through service. To meet the needs of its growing and geographically diverse network, the organisation recognised the need to move away from fragmented training programs and create a single, cohesive digital infrastructure. This strategic investment is designed to better support critical leadership initiatives like the Continuing Leadership Education (CLE) for club officers and the Student Leadership Programs (SLP) for young people.
A key example of Kiwanis’s commitment to global service is its work with UNICEF on The Eliminate Project, which has raised over $110 million to combat maternal and neonatal tetanus. The new learning platform will help to empower volunteers with the leadership skills, training, and resources needed to manage such ambitious projects and foster a new generation of civic-minded leaders.
“The launch of Kiwanis Engage marked a transformative step in how we connect and serve our global mission. By integrating Moodle Workplace into our digital ecosystem, we’re extending that transformation into volunteer training and leadership development. This unified platform will allow us to deliver personalised, scalable learning experiences that empower our members to lead with confidence and impact,”
Tom Castonzo, Director of Information Technology at Kiwanis International
The new platform, built on Moodle Workplace, will provide advanced automation and sophisticated technology, allowing Kiwanis departments to deliver highly tailored learning content and streamline course delivery ensuring that volunteer leaders receive a cohesive user experience and are provided with the right training for their specific roles.
“Titus is honoured to be a part of this mission-driven project. Kiwanis’s commitment to empowering their volunteers through a unified, scalable platform is a perfect use case for Moodle Workplace’s capabilities. This new hub will empower volunteer leaders with the tools they need to make a greater impact on children’s lives globally.”
