Supporting Our Local Community

June 1, 2020

Our quarterly company socials are the highlight in many of our calendars, although this time it was a little different – it took place remotely via Zoom. We all got together to celebrate a successful quarter and look ahead at what’s to come later in 2020.

Celebrating our achievements

The afternoon started with a company update, where Co-founder and Director Seb Francis shared a reflective look over the first three months of the year, focusing on all the great things we achieved as a team – this included opening our office in the UAE, achieving Moodle Certified Premium Partner status, the growth of our team and the progress of our groundbreaking project to create the worlds biggest Moodle Workplace platform.

Giving back to the community

After the company update was over, Connor Young took a break from his usual role as Developer at Titus HQ to take to the virtual podium as Auctioneer for the afternoon.

Earlier in the week, Titus team members were challenged to think up individual Lots to be auctioned off in aid of Airedale Hospital, the Bradford Royal Infirmary and a local Food Bank. In true Titus style, the results were spectacular! Lots varied from the weird to the wonderful, from the home made to the extravagant. A flying lesson donated by Head of Technology Jon Miles, a homemade takeaway from Head of Support Majid Hussain and a night out with Titus’ answer to Ant and Dec – Callum and Connor, were just a few of the items that caused competition among the team.

Once the final gavelgabel had fallen, the team had raised over £1,700, which would be used to buy goody bags for the hardworking health professionals at two nearby hospitals as well as a local food bank.

All in all it was a great occasion where we were able to not only celebrate our achievements of the team, but also do some good in our local community.
