The Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS) run by Action Sustainability, is an award-winning, industry-wide collaboration, formed in 2012 and headquartered in London. The school covers all aspects of the built environment, focusing on eight distinct topics: Sustainability, Digital, FIR, Lean Construction, Management, Offsite, People and Procurement.
In collaboration with and funded by its 200+ partners, the school provides free training resources covering various areas to its membership of over 21,000 organisations. In 2018, the school approached Titus to develop a learning provision that could be used to disseminate its learning content more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Titus provided SCSS with a custom, fully-managed Moodle solution. The online provision included a purpose-designed theme and ‘catalogue’ interface, making it easy for in-house teams to add new partner organisations and course content. Action Sustainability, providers of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, in part due to their use of Moodle and the adoption of online learning provisions.
Our work with SCSS has provided training resources to over 85,000 registered users. Since launching the new site in 2019, the number of school Partners and Members has tripled.
A stated goal for this project was the ability to provide SCSS with in-depth reporting on the platform’s usage so that this could influence its continued development.
Titus partnered with Learner Script to integrate specialised advanced reporting and analytic tools into the SCSS Moodle platform, centred around an intuitive single-pane-view dashboard.
Alongside Moodle, SCSS uses the marketing automation platform Force 24 and wanted to explore the possibility of integrating the two platforms to avoid duplication of administrative work.
Our development team designed and implemented bespoke integration, ensuring that admin activities in Moodle, such as user creation, would be automatically mirrored in Force 24, reducing manual work and overhead.
As part of the project, Titus provided SCSS and its clients with two additional Moodle platforms for French and Australian members, liaising with the respective team at each stage of their development to ensure the platform met specific use case requirements for each country.
Redeploying functionality already developed for the UK site delivered significant cost savings, and accelerated the implementation process. Within a short lead time, members had access to localised content relevant to their industry and regulatory environment.
