The South West Operational Delivery Neonatal Network is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of infant-centred neonatal care, working closely with parents and families across the southwest of the UK. As part of their remit, they provide a neonatal education program which is accessible to all clinical staff within the region in which they operate.
The Network was looking to implement a learning management system which would be user-friendly enough to ensure users engaged readily with the platform, and minimise onboarding time for staff, while providing the tools they needed to develop and upload their own content packages and courses.
Following an in-depth consultation, they selected Titus to deliver a new LMS based on Moodle — to be hosted in a UK-based cloud environment. The project included the development of a custom login interface and overall theme to match SWNN branding and ensure ease of navigation, as well as a comprehensive training and support package.
Our work with South West Neonatal Network has allowed them to expand their training provision and content libraries.
As a healthcare provider, data security was a key factor for SWNN, as well as the need for a hosting provider with comprehensive disaster recovery provision.
The new Moodle is hosted on the Titus AWS Cloud which is fully compliant with NHS security requirements and provides enterprise-grade performance.
Prior to launch, Titus delivered a bespoke, comprehensive training programme to SWNN’s users on the administration and management of the LMS.
We continue to proactively monitor the platform’s usage, engagement and impact to offer quarterly strategic input on how the platform can be improved.
During the pre-launch training sessions, we focused on ensuring that the SWNN team were confident in developing and uploading their own content to the LMS.
Since its launch, staff at SWNN have been building new courses on a range of topics related to neonatal care which are now available to all enrolled users via Moodle.
