Founded in 2013, Person Centred Software (PCS) aims to lead in improving the systems used in social care around the world, using innovative technology in order to simplify care and improve the lives of those living and working within social care settings.
PCS approached Titus to consult on implementing an online learning platform that would be used to train their user base on their proprietary care management software, used in a variety of supported living environments, including nursing homes, residential care homes, and learning disabilities support centres.
We designed a solution based around the Moodle LMS platform, which would meet their requirements for ease-of-use, streamlined onboarding, facilitating mobile and remote learning, and providing detailed reporting on learner achievements, engagement and progress.
Our work with PCS has provided a best-in-class Moodle LMS with additional features to reduce onboarding time and improve accessibility for their busy user base of social care professionals.
Our initial engagement with PCS took the form of an initial workshop, followed by consultancy and knowledge-gathering sessions to accurately map their requirements for the new platform.
The team at PCS described this early stage involvement as being “absolutely key to the project overall”, as well as praising the “quality and effectiveness” of our two-way communication throughout the planning and implementation phases.
Usability was a key concern for PCS — they were keen to ensure that their users could access learning within Moodle quickly and conveniently without the need for a lengthy training or onboarding process.
Titus customised the platform with our own purpose-built theme, designed to simplify navigating to relevant content and enhance the user experience — ensuring that PCS users could engage with the platform effectively from launch.
The solution we provided to PCS includes proactive infrastructure management and technical support for the period of the contract, including version updates and security patches to the Moodle platform as these are released.
In addition, we provided learner-led training sessions ahead of the platform launch date to ensure PCS staff were confident and comfortable using Moodle LMS, and able to make the most of its extended functionality.
