Meet The Team – Ellie

We’re incredibly excited to announce our newest team member, Ellie Sharkey. who joins us as a Senior Marketing Executive. Ellie has a 1st Class Hons degree in Marketing and Media and has over 10 years of experience working in different marketing roles for global consumer brands, including the likes of Mercedes-Benz and GHD.

Below we take a look at some of Ellie’s past work experiences, what attracted her to the role at Titus and some of her out of office interests:

What are your past work experiences?

I have worked in broad marketing roles getting involved in everything from digital, PR, events, brand and traditional media. My previous roles have always been with lifestyle consumer brands including GHD hair stylers and Mercedes-Benz.

What attracted you to the role at Titus?

I love a new challenge and learning new things.

For me, making the move to B2B marketing within the tech sector was a big step away from my normal comfort zone but one that really excited me as tech really is the way the world is moving. Then when I researched more into Titus Learning I was really impressed with the young and dynamic team and the way they seem to approach the business.

Which areas of e-learning interest you the most?

As a marketer, I am naturally drawn to the branding of things so being able to theme our LMS to our client’s needs is really interesting. I’m also interested in seeing how our LMS can have such a positive and important impact, not just on the organisations we work with but more importantly with their end-users.

What are you looking forward to about the new role?

Working with a new team who are open to new ideas. It feels like a really pivotal time for Titus Learning so I am looking forward to being able to add to that with new brand and marketing initiatives.

Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

I’m much more of a book girl. It’s hard to list 3 but I’d probably say: 1) The Book Thief, 2) The Kite Runner, 3) The Light Between The Oceans.

What are your interests outside of the office?

I have a little girl who is two and an absolute dream, so I love hanging out with her and my husband. I am also lucky to have lots of friends and family nearby so I spend a lot of time with them all. For many years I was a gym bunny and used to teach dance classes so try to find the time to keep fit when I can. I also love to travel and holidays and will never turn down the chance to see somewhere new.

Phuong Nguyen Hong

Digital Marketing Executive

Super talented, unflappable and very funny, Phuong supports the whole marketing team in her role as Digital Marketing Executive. Phuong holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and recently completed a master’s degree in Management and Marketing. Originally from Hanoi in Vietnam, Phuong is now based in the UK and climatising brilliantly to our weather and food.

Phuong owns a food review Instagram page as travelling and food are her passion. She also has a cute little french bulldog.

Ellie Sharkey

Head of Marketing

Ellie was the first woman to join Titus and has paved the way for many more since then. After studying for a degree in Fashion and Marketing, Ellie was lucky to find herself at fashion weeks and photoshoots.

Now she’s switched from talk of the front row to front end design and has brought loads of transferable knowledge to Titus. Ellie has also found a real passion for tech, especially in the learning sector, helping clients create positive change for their organisations.

Callum Barrett

Senior Brand Executive

As one of the youngest people at Titus but at the same time one of the oldest serving members of the team, Callum has graced Titus with his broad smile and positive attitude for over 5 years now. As a key member of the marketing team, Callum works across all areas, both on and offline, to ensure that all Titus brands and communication are on point.

After missing out on the opportunity to go to University the first time around, management encouraged him to enrol in our course alongside his work. He is now studying to achieve his Level 6 Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing.

Dec Connolly

Acquisition Marketing Manager

Always bringing innovation and new ideas, Dec studied a degree in Journalism but found his passion in digital marketing. Dec has also worked in marketing for one of the countries biggest retailers and within the property sector.

Outside work, Dec Co-founded a news publication where he collaborated with global brands like Uber, Amazon, BooHoo and countless SMEs.
