The Role
This is a newly created part-time role that will sit within the People Team, reporting into the Head of People & Culture and work closely with the HR & People Coordinator, however, you will also work closely with the company Directors. You will be responsible for taking on the day to day financial activities within the business as well as helping shape the finance function for future business growth and have an eye for streamlining processes.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that Titus has its bookkeeping in order for
budgets and taxes. Other duties will include data entry into the system, preparing a balance sheet, updating financial records, processing invoices and cost analysis reports. Priority tasks include paying invoices, creating invoices and credit control, procurement and being the finance link between Titus and our suppliers.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that Titus has its invoices in order for budget and taxes. Other duties will include creating invoices, purchase orders, credit control, procurement and the relationship between suppliers with regards to the chasing of outstanding invoices. Priority tasks include the paying of employee salaries, procurement and being the front-facing and link between Titus and our suppliers.

You will be an outgoing, positive and experienced Finance Assistant working for us on a part-time basis; there may be a view to increase hours in the future as we are a fast-growing business.
You may be a working parent with lots of finance experience looking to get back into a supportive and friendly workplace and fit your hours around school times and hit the ground running. You could also be someone looking for a change, or potentially wishing to move from full to part-time if your life circumstance has changed to have a better work life balance. You will understand finance fundamentals and know how to support the business. This is a great standalone opportunity for someone to make their mark and establish a finance function for the business.

- Previous experience of working within a finance role at an Assistant level
- Able to streamline and improve operational finance processes
- Good knowledge of accounting practices
- Self drive and use of initiative
- Ability to work independently with minimal management support
- Analytical and critical thinking skills

- Good working knowledge and experience of Excel and spreadsheet programmes
- The ability to multitask and prioritise time-dependent responsibilities

What we need from you:
- Proven 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong design, typography, and creative art-working skills
- Demonstrate previous portfolio of design experience
- The ability to read and interpret a brief, understanding how to bring to life key messages in presentation documents
- Working knowledge of media production and communication
- Demonstrable experience of computer operating systems, hardware and software
- Visibly passionate about awesome design and the value it brings to a business
- Excellent eye for detail
- Innovative and creative, with the confidence to research and present new ideas and ways of working
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and to manage own workload
- Positive and collaborative attitude

- HR experience to an Assistant level
- Experience of using Xero
- Finance qualification
