We’re Titus; an award-winning supplier of organisational eLearning and we pride ourselves on being the best Moodle provider in the world. We utilise the world’s most popular learning platforms for clients such as Network Rail, Labour Party, Royal College Surgeons and Dermalogica to drive transformation through their teams learning and development. Impressive, right!
Right now, we’re looking to fill a newly created position of Bid Manager within our Sales team, reporting into the Head of Sales. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in and fulfil a hybrid role consisting of bid coordination duties as well as establish the bid management process for the business; ultimately creating a successful bid team around them and recruiting further support staff.
The role will own the full bid process, including tenders, frameworks, requests for proposals and requests for information.
This role will be responsible for seeing bid opportunities through the full life cycle, including; sourcing the opportunity, bib/no bid decision making, delegation of work and tasks, setting deadlines, QA review and submission.
Culture – We have a people first culture and are really proud of the team we have created. Full of respect and diversity, and we talk openly and honestly about all things. It’s about our people knowing they are truly listened to and valued at work.
Our People – We work hard to ensure our people are valued, committed and motivated but most importantly they are happy. This shows in the results from our regular staff surveys. It’s important to us that we continue to hire not only talented people, but people who fit in with what we’re about.
Your Development – We actively support our people in their development, both financially and with allocated time; working with you on quarterly objective based Game Plans designed to keep you on track and continually improving in your role.
We’re a social bunch – We also like to have a lot of fun, eat, drink and try new things amongst the hard work; we run exceptional team activities, office parties and regular company events too!
Recognition – We cheer each other on, regular praise and gifts are important and we hold annual pay reviews and bonuses for exceptional work and overachievers.
Don’t take our word for it, read on and then come find out all these things are true for yourself (which they are!)
This role will suit someone looking for a stand-alone position and wants to be involved in undertaking the entire bidding process for the business. We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager, or a Bid Executive ready to take the next step. We would like to talk to degree educated self-starters who can communicate and build rapport across all levels of the business.
You will have a strong focus on pre and early stage tender activities that will include producing insightful client, sector and competitor research, along with in-bid activities such as issuing qualification documents, drafting bid content, coordinating and facilitating project project/bid activities.
You will enjoy and be ready for the freedom to develop and implement new ideas and processes, with an aim of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the bid function within Titus. You will be forward thinking and thrive of the growing client base we have here, building impactful and lasting relationships and streamlining processes.
Full management of the bid process from start to end, with the support of the other business functions (sourcing, defining bid team, allocating tasks, setting deadlines and submitting). You will be responsible for preparing and writing detailed commercial documents, such as pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and tenders, that Titus will submit to win new contracts in line with our sales targets.
You will identify opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision over whether to bid for the work. You will also be involved in devising a successful strategy for winning a bid, including pinpointing the unique selling points of Titus, understanding the clients’ specific requirements.
You will be researching, writing and/or checking proposals and working with key members of the team and the client organisation to obtain relevant information required to compile the bid.
There are too many things to list but here’s a snippet
