Awarding Body

Changing people’s lives through education.

Qualifications that support clear career pathways.

Active IQ is one of the UK’s leading awarding organisations for the active leisure, learning and wellbeing sector. They are recognised and regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA, and their remit involves designing, testing, and awarding accredited qualifications to support the physical activity sector.

They approached Titus with the desire to expand their e-learning capabilities. With a platform already in place that they had used for several years, they realised that its ability to support their vision in terms of learning and development was limited and that they were quickly outgrowing the platform.

Titus delivered a custom Moodle Workplace solution to meet Active IQ’s automation, reporting and multi-tenancy requirements. Key features include greater levels of automation in the backend—freeing up stakeholders to focus on content creation, as well as more detailed reporting capabilities to help identify what content types are most effective.

At a glance

Moodle Workplace—taking eLearning to the next level.

Our work with Active IQ has allowed them to expand and grow their e-learning capabilities in line with their vision and mission.

10,000 users

Active IQ’s new Moodle platform is used by roughly 10,000 learners, of which approximately one in four access learning via a mobile device.

The LMS hosts a total of 300 courses split across 30 qualification programmes, supported by a library of over 4000 SCORM packages and other resources.

User experience

The varied range of courses and resources available support Active IQ’s Training Providers in delivering a positive and engaging learning experience.

Via Moodle, the organisation is able to efficiently manage assessments, pre-course learning, automatic grading and online course registration.

Future-focused

Since the initial rollout, Active IQ has committed to working with Titus on plans to expand and grow the functionality of their Moodle platform.

Plans include an ‘Amazon like’ checkout experience for those purchasing courses and further development to the user experience design of the LMS.
