Excellent experience working with Titus—
bouncing ideas off each other.

The City of London Police is responsible for policing the historic City of London, a roughly one square mile area of central London home to the City’s main financial hub. They have a leading role in the investigation of fraud and other economic crimes as well as serving the relatively small number of residents within the City.

The City of London Police Economic Crime Academy was looking to design and develop an online learning platform to deliver training on a range of topics, including specialist courses in fraud prevention. They required detailed access analysis and reporting on users engaging with the platform.

Titus designed and developed a custom Moodle LMS which would allow the Economic Crime Academy to host existing training materials, as well as create new digital-first resources. The platform is hosted within the Titus AWS cloud, ensuring compliance with the stringent standards of security and high levels of availability and reliability required by COLP.

Moodle LMS—helping to tackle fraud and economic crime.

Our work with the City of London Police has allowed them to streamline current training delivery and reach a wider audience.

Greater efficiency

Since the launch of the new Moodle platform, COLP has been able to digitise all of its pre-existing course material, reusing and repurposing it as needed.

This has resulted in significant improvements in efficiency, from the point of view of platform administrators, course creators and learners alike.

Lower costs

The efficiency gains introduced with the new LMS have lowered costs across the board—including staffing, administration and management overheads.

Thanks to the elastic hosting environment, COLP also have more granular control over infrastructure spending, with costs flexing to match demand.

Increased demand

At present, the City of London Police is the sole UK organisation providing a comprehensive suite of programmes covering financial crime.

This unique offering, paired with the ease of access to courses and resources enabled by Moodle, means demand is high—and projected to rise.
