We’re incredibly excited to announce our newest team member, Jon Davis. who joins us as a Learning and Development Consultant. Our newest recruit to the Titus team joins us from the creative and digital sector, where he’s helped hundreds of organisations develop their online presence. Starting in the media industry, Jon’s forged a reputation of delivering high-quality solutions, on time and on budget and loves to develop new relationships with clients to become a trusted part of their supply chain.

Below we take a look at Jon’s past work experiences, what attracted him to the role at Titus and some of his out of office interests:
How long had you been working in the e-learning sector before joining Titus Learning, and what attracted you to working in education?

I’m relatively new to the sector but have been involved in managing the design and build of over 400 websites for corporate organisations, schools, charities and lots of other interesting people. I’m looking forward to putting that experience into practice here.

What was it that attracted you to the role at Titus?

The web sector has become slightly saturated with providers of late, whereas there are only a few LMS development companies partnered with Moodle. It’s interesting to be involved in a specialist sector, where all those partnered with Moodle have had to go through a rigorous process and earn their stripes.

Which areas of educational technology interest you the most?

I’m a huge advocate of the idea of working smarter, not necessarily harder. Knowing the time saving and improvements to reporting and efficiencies we can offer just about any company are fantastic, and something I’m eager to get involved in.

What are you looking forward to about the new role?

It’s apparent at Titus Learning that everyone believes in the core message and value, so working with people that share the same dedications and beliefs as me is exciting.

Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?

I can’t narrow it down to 3 but tend to read fiction, ranging from Dean Koontz to Lee Child.

For Podcasts, it has to be a comedy. I’m a big fan of Stewart Francis and his one-liners!

What are your interests outside of the office?

I love cooking, but that’s probably because I like eating! Fresh air, good company, nice beer and stand up comedy.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?

It would have to be the guitar, I’ve tried many times to learn it but it’s just something that I simply can’t get the hang of and I’ve been restricted to the intro to Wonderwall for 7 years!

Do you have any favourite quotes?
For me it’s nothing literary or inspirational from a philosopher, I do like to come up with my own messages I follow.
I try to stick by a few rules… make sure you laugh every day like it’s your last and if you don’t like what you do, stop doing it, we’re only here for a short visit.
