Meet The Team – Nathan

Last month we welcomed Nathan to our Support team as a 1st line Service Desk Analyst. Since the launch of the Network Rail and BPS platforms, along with numerous other projects, the number of users we support has skyrocketed. The importance of technical support is at an all-time high, and we’re ecstatic to have Nathan here to help us continue to provide our expected high levels of service.

Nathan is responsible for responding to any technical queries that our clients have and supporting them to find a solution.

We sat down with Nathan to find out a little more about his work experiences, his role at Titus and his interests away from work.

What are your past work experiences?

My past work experience has involved working as a Service Desk Analyst in a busy IT contact centre where I held both 1st and 2nd line roles. When I first left school, I was fortunate to take an Apprenticeship in IT which has given me a really good platform and skills base to build my career.

What attracted you to the role at Titus?

I applied for the job at Titus because it meant I could combine my passion for computers and technology with learning. I strongly believe that education is imperative, and feel privileged I can help our customers on their learning journey.

What are you looking forward to about the new role?

I would say the best part of my job is working with such a skilled and experienced team which will give me the opportunity to learn and grow from them. I hope that I can gain experience in the different technical areas so that I can develop a broad knowledge of technical support and learning platforms.

What are your interests outside of the office?

Outside of work I play Table Tennis, I have played since the age of 5 in both local and national leagues. During league fixtures, I train 4 or 5 times a week (although the recent COVID pandemic has stopped me from playing). I admire Liam Pitchford, he is one of the British Table Tennis Team Players and has represented Great Britain at the Olympics, he is a tactical player and always one step ahead thinking of his next step. My other interest is my dog, Luna. I rescued her from a traumatic start in life where she had been abused. When I rescued her she was scared of her own shadow but with patience and understanding, we have become inseparable. She is a Husky / German Shepherd cross around 3 years old, and completely oblivious of her name and has no recall whatsoever, but I’m working on it.

Do you have any favourite quotes?

To summarise, my favourite quote is: “If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got”. In other words, if what you’re doing isn’t working, find a different way.

We’re incredibly excited to have Nathan on our team and getting stuck in supporting our customers. To learn more about his role, or to speak to us about our Moodle or Moodle Workplace solutions, get in touch below.
