There are a number of enrolment methods via Moodle. For example, course admins can manually enrol users in a course or users can ‘self-enrol’. Even after the various enrolment methods, you also have different permission options in terms of how much access a user has within that course, and password protecting a certain area or the whole course.
All enrollments can be manually allocated or automated via auto group/cohort sync functionality. Access to courses can be controlled. Courses can be made private and specific course sections can also remain private. Courses can also be public with guest access available through a guest login. Courses can also have start and end dates as well as supporting rolling enrolments.
Using the paypal enrolment method, the platform can be configured to allow entry on payment for the specific course. With Intellicart included within our bid for the British Gymnastic Platform, enrollment can also be done via selecting the course from the product catalogue (included with Intellicart).
Titus will work with British Gymnastics to set up all required enrolment methods to meet your requirements and ensure the platform is configured to meet your needs.
User Registration
Users can be prompted to self-register on the Moodle site through email-based self registration where the user will access the Moodle page and be asked to select “Create an Account” the user will then input their email address and then create their moodle user account. Titus will work with British Gymnastics to determine the method they would like users to register for the site.
For a British Gymnasts Member paying an annual subscription, users can be bulk uploaded into the system via csv with an email sent to their email address to login to the system. British Gymnast members would then be able to navigate to the learning they wish to complete via the Product Catalogue provisioned through Intellicart.
For non-members, they will be able to access a Product Catalogue (configured via Intellicart) once they click the resource they will be directed to a registration page and directed back to pay for the resource via the Intellicart integration and subsequently enrolled and returned to the resource. For Guest Users, a similar process can be configured as a non-member however we will work to determine your requirements for non-members.
Enrollment will for the most part be handled automatically, with user accounts created and users assigned to the appropriate courses based on the existing data held on them by. Guest users will have access to free content and be enrolled automatically upon registration.
All user types will be able to login manually to Moodle (via Moodle interface) or through the website interface (through SSO).
Depending on the individual course, users will have access to a number of learning resources, and will complete a series of activities. This may take place entirely within the platform, for example in the form of online quizzes, or may include uploading external documentation for assessment.
